The Magic of Oz

Cottabus

The Cottabus is a curious cat-like creature that must ask fifty questions a day or it will curl up and die.

First named in Kabumpo in Oz, ch. 4

Kabumpo was too astonished to move, and the next instant the Cottabus had flounced out of the bushes and settled itself directly in front of the two travelers.
