The Twigs are a tribe of animated, bad-tempered trees and bushes, ruled by a King, living in a dead forest on the way to the Deadly Desert.
First named in Kabumpo in Oz, ch. 16
The Twigs fell back immediately and a bent and twisted old tree hobbled forward.
