A sealed, glowing sea-cave with a sandy beach and a pool opening to the ocean, where the whirlpool's mermaids deposit Trot and Cap'n Bill and where they meet the Ork.

First named in The Scarecrow of Oz, ch. 2

A soft, bluish-green glow lighted the place, which seemed to be a sort of cavern, for above and on either side of her were rugged rocks.

    Reached from the whirlpool off the California coast, but plainly a fairy place: mermaids carry the castaways there, the cavern glows on its own, and the Ork later flies from the island above it to the Land of Mo.
