A stretch of ground that moves in great brown mud waves, seldom crossed by travellers, into which Ozma and Atmos Fere blunder while fleeing a storm and are tumbled along like ships on a rough sea.

First named in The Hungry Tiger of Oz, ch. 15

They had unluckily run into the great rolling country of the east, mentioned by a few explorers, but seldom crossed by ordinary travellers.
